John is an author and illustrator of poetry and picture books. He was born and raised in Western New York. He spent his childhood exploring his backyard woods, writing plays and poetry, and reading a lot of books. In his teen years he also took his creative spark into the digital world, by creating short films and graphic designs.
John has studied Digital Media Arts and Environmental Studies from Canisius College. His love of nature and the outdoors can be found throughout his writing. He enjoys tending to his vegetable garden in the summer, going on bike rides, and reading a good book from his local library.
